Female Empowerment in Rwanda

Last March, Spark's Ben Thomas sat down with Spark community members to hear how they felt their communities had changed since the beginning of their partnership. One topic that stood out among many of the people Ben spoke to was that of female empowerment. As Mukakamanse Perusi explains, "Now, a woman can stand up, and now, if a woman doesn't understand whats going on, she can stand up and ask questions, about things like when they money came and how it is being used. Women know now that we need to be confident."
