COVID-19 Community Study

In May of 2020, Spark conducted our second rapid study to analyze the impact of COVID-19 in our communities. This study assessed the impacts of COVID-19 on livelihoods and communication methods and gathered information from communities across Rwanda, Uganda, and Burundi. The primary areas of inquiry included health, food and economic security, community-led initiatives, and COVID-19 prevention, surveyed across 446 respondents.

The results of the survey revealed significant impacts of COVI-19 in communities on food security, income, and economic mobility.
