Fund a Community-Powered Project Today
Congratulations to our very own Sasha Fisher on being named a Do Something Awards Finalist! Thank you to everyone who voted and remember that this is just the beginning: browse our website for ways to support our work and ensure that we’re the generation to end global poverty!
Spark MicroGrants is pioneering a new method of community development.
Spark supports rural poor communities to design, implement and manage their own social impact projects. We provide microgrants of between $2,000-$10,000 to enable project implementation, such as of a school, electricity line or farm. No interest or repayment of the funds granted is requested.
To date Spark has partnered with over 30 communities in Rwanda and Uganda who have developed local project plans and are in the process of implementing them.
For all of the latest news, check out the Spark Blog! There you will find updates on new programs, community projects, and partnerships as well as monthly posts from our facilitator fellows. We welcome your comments, questions, and ideas! Join the conversation today.
"It's best to let the community decide on the project; otherwise they won’t be invested in it and it won’t work." - Kamanzi Moses, Spark Facilitator Learn More
